Natalie and Steve pledged undying devotion to each other on April 11, 2015 on Venice Beach at the Yacht Club.
The stunning bride selected a cascade bouquet that included white dove roses, delicate white cymbidium orchid blooms, phalaenopsis orchid blooms with a few coral roses and purple, hanging dendrobium orchid blooms that offered the right amount of color for the occasion. Complementing the bride’s beautiful dress and look for the day was a halo of purple coordinating orchids and a double lei to match groom Steve’s orchid lei—a family tradition.
“Originally, the bride ordered her leis from Hawaii but when the flowers arrived, they were rotten,” said Willie Jones, the floral designer for this wedding. “The bride called the day before the wedding and thankfully, we had just enough orchids in stock to make them.”
Five bridesmaids and one maid of honor were wearing deep plum gowns and carried matching hand-tied bouquets of soft white flowers with coral accents. The stem treatment was coral and plum weaving with coral rose hair flowers to top off their look. The bridal party was regal.
According to Jones, everything was in sync with this wedding—an artsy groom’s mother who kept the day jovial, an exceptional bridal party who did a tremendous job of organizing the details and, six dashing groomsmen who sported handsome boutonnieres (although they needed help putting them on!)
