Pretty In Pink

Did you know the color pink is a symbol for unconditional love and nurturing?100_1978 As a combination of red and white, pink marries the physical passion of red with the loving energy of white. The combining of these two colors, creates a powerful symbolic element and wedding theme for the union of two souls. It is also a complementary color for those considering a sunset wedding on the beach. These photographs feature a wedding that the Beneva Flowers special events team assisted with at the Longboat Key Club. The ceremony was at the water’s edge on the soft white sand and the reception was located at the Islandside Clubhouse.

The Venue: Like the symbolism of color, the design details play a significant part in every ceremony. This couple chose a chuppah draped with sheer white fabric to create a sense of balance when paired with the sturdiness of the bamboo structure. To incorporate the bride and groom’s color choice, our team created two sprays featuring various shades of pink roses, white hydrangea and green accents for texture.

100_1991The Reception: As an intimate wedding of only five tables, our team focused on creating a romantic and lush setting for the celebration. We continued the pink color theme from the ceremony into this space by sprinkling pink rose petals around the base of dramatic centerpieces to add a sense of magic. By having 24-inch clear vases, the centerpieces did not obstruct the view of the guests and almost made the flowers look like little chandeliers floating above each table.

TIP: When picking your wedding colors, ask yourself and your fiancé the following questions: “What colors are significant in our daily lives?” and “What colors would complement our venue?” If you are still unsure, give our team a call. We would be happy to help you pick the perfect palate.
